Are you a painter and a traveler? If you aren’t a painter then you should check out all of the different paints to start your hobby! But if you are, then you need a Travel Art Kit! A travel art kit is perfect for keeping yourself busy on a long train ride or capturing a special moment by the ocean. Regardless of where you go or how you get there, a travel art kit is essential for any painter on the go.
Step 1: Find a Sleeve
First, you need to find a place to keep your art supplies. A good idea is to use an old legging leg and close one side of it. Then you can place your supplies in it like a little pouch! You do not need a case for your kit but it sure is handy (especially if you plan to keep it all in a purse or bag).
Step 2: Gather Supplies
You will need to get your hands on the following items to make your kit.
- A Water Brush (which is a paintbrush that holds water for watercolors)
- A Visual Journal for watercolors
- A set of watercolor paints (like this)
- A small water enhancer bottle (such as a Mio bottle)
The water brush is essential. It helps make the whole painting process a lot easier and cleaner. You can clean out a Mio bottle and fill it with water. That way you can fill your water brush as you travel. Throw in a watercolors set, a journal, and a sleeve, and you are ready to go!
